Players Newsletter March 2020

Panto 2020 was a great success. Well done to Sammy and her team for bringing `Mother Goose` to life. There were good audiences every performance and lovely comments as the people left. Bring on the next one!

Our next social event is the beetle drive that Celia is kindly organising. This is on Thursday March 19th at 7.30pm. This is an evening for all the family where great fun can be had by young and old. £3 entry per person. Nibbles will be provided and the bar will hopefully be open. Come along and have some fun.

Kirsty has announced the next youth group production for October half term. It will be Honk Jr which is the story of the ugly duckling. There are some wonderful songs and lots of characters so there is something for all ages from 6 – 18. Workshops and auditions will be in July so keep an eye out on the website and facebook pages.

Finally just a mention for Anna Mills who is doing amazing things all over the world. She has never forgotten where she started her acting career. We wish her and Finn Rahn, who has also gone on to have great success, all the best for the future.

Players Newsletter January 2020

Happy New Year to you all. A fantastic evening was had by all at the Penventon Hotel. Over 60 people attended the dinner/dance from a large number of our younger members to life presidents and former members. It was lovely having the Lady Edith suite to ourselves as people could stay and mingle in the dining area or `strut their stuff` on the dance floor! Many thanks to the Penventon Hotel, Jess for organising and Adam for providing the music. Hopefully we will be able to arrange more of these evenings.

Panto will shortly be upon us ( Oh yes it will! ). Sammy and Jason have worked very hard as have the cast and crew. It is lovely that we have a good number of our youth group forming a junior chorus to work alongside our senior chorus. We would love to have any adults joining our chorus, helping with Front of House or chaperoning. Tickets are on sale and can be booked through Kirsty on 07872449168 – Adults £8 and concessions £6. Feb 20th – Feb 22nd

Players have been asked to help sell programmes for Trevithick Day in Camborne for a small percentage. We will hopefully be selling them at Tesco, Camborne on Saturday 18th April if anyone can help.

No newsletter in Feb as I will be too busy with panto. Please contact me if there is anything you would like to see included.
